Acrobatic Gymnastics

Are you looking for a dynamic and spirited sport that builds confidence and camaraderie amongst participants?

Acrobatic Gymnastics (previously called Sport Acrobatics and nicknamed "Acro") is a competitive partner sport combining the strength, flexibility, and technical precision of gymnastics with the grace and musicality of dance. The events are-

Each pair or group compete two different exercises: Balance and Dynamic for levels 1-7 and also a "Combined" routine for levels 8-10. Balance routines consist of partner-balancing, pyramids in static positions. Dynamic routines embody high-flying throws, catches and flips. Combined routines, as the name suggests, combine both balance and dynamic elements.

Acrobatic Gymnastics integrates the grace and beauty of dance, the balance and strength exhibited in gymnastics, with the magnificence of teamwork not shared with any other sport in the Gymnastics family. Groups of two, three and four athletes reach new heights in gymnastics by performing dynamic, flight, and balance skills, seemingly defying laws of physics and human movement. Acrobatic Gymnastics challenges the athletes' physical ability, while instilling in him or her, the profound and lifelong values of trust and teamwork.
